My name is Richard Dorset and I am a licensed life and health insurance agent. My license was granted after I studied all aspects of health and life insurance and passed state required examinations for both. Simply put, I have over 30 years of experience assisting customers in a variety of businesses and I follow the Golden Rule, namely that I treat people I am advising as I would want to be treated, every single time.

My entry into the life and health insurance business began 3 years ago. I knew I needed a policy to take care of my final expenses when I passed away. I did some research and, as I acquired more knowledge, I realized that I now had the ability to help others navigate what can be a confusing process. So, I decided to enter a business where I knew I could make a positive contribution to people's lives. Helping people find a policy that would take the burden of settling their affairs away from their family members at a price they could afford proved very rewarding.

In a similar vein, I realized that my time for needing Medicare was approaching soon. So, I went online and got a book and studied. I quickly realized that I could perform the same service for people needing Medicare as I had done for people needing Life Insurance. More studying and taking exams followed and I acquired the skills to help people navigate the process of enrolling in Medicare.

My approach with every couple or individual I speak with is to ask questions and understand what your needs are. To place you in the right program, we need to make sure your doctors, medical facilities, and hospitals are in the plan you will choose. We need to understand which medicines you take so that we know they will be covered. We also need to find a plan that will cover your dental, vision, and hearing needs.

With this information in hand, I am now able to provide you with several plan recommendations. Once you choose a plan that meets your needs at a price that you can afford, I will walk you through the application process. I am with you the entire way until the plan is in place, and you have the Medicare coverage you need, so that you can rest easy that your medical needs will be taken care of.
